RI Divorce Lawyer - Fraud On the Internet - Rhode Island Lawyers are no Exception

Whether you are a Rhode Island lawyer who practices divorce or a client looking for good honest representation, it's hard to know who is who on the internet, especially with all the internet fraud going on.

In the past two weeks in between spending time with my wife at her hospital bed at the Rhode Island Intensive Care Unit (who were magnificent to her by the way), I had the misfortune to receive calls from a closing attorney for a RI Real Estate transaction, as well as a Rhode Island resident who found an article on the web about me that made him question if I might be a good attorney for him.

The long and the short of it is this. Fraudulent documents and website articles citing my name and address were posted on the internet and are being used by others to either create fraudulent transactions in their own divorces or to discredit my upstanding legal reputation and what I stand for as an attorney by taking bits and peices of my articles and then taking quotes out of context or assigning contents to me that I never said or wrote at all.

Fraud is on the rise and you should be careful even when searching for a Rhode Island lawyer to represent you in your divorce proceeding or even if you are simply searching for some inexpensive Rhode island divorce coaching because you don't have a complicated divorce and you want to save money.

If you are considering obtaining legal advice from me regarding your Rhode Island divorce proceeding and you are thinking about ruling me out, do yourself a favor and make sure you haven't found a fraudulent article or document that I had nothing to do with. I am straightforward with people who call me and I don't sugar coat things. The fact is, I tell it like it is. I don't get your hopes up or tell you what you want to hear about your divorce or family law matter simply so you will use my services. I give it to you straight.

What I'd like everyone who reads this article to know is simply that someone has been fraudulently creating documents that appear to be court documents and including my name in them when I had nothing to do with them. These divorce looking documents are in fact phonies... complete fakes! Hopefully I will track down the people who are creating these documents and have them prosecuted in short order. I am an honest and helpful lawyer and my clients deserve to know the truth. If something is unethical or immoral you can rest assured that in any divorce or family court proceeding that I have had nothing to do with it.

I'll be happy either to explain or you will have done me the favor of protecting yourself and others, as well as alerting me to yet another fraudulent Rhode Island divorce article or document meant to rip someone off or injure my reputation when I am the one who can most likely help you.

Uncontested RI Divorce Forms - A Rhode Island Lawyer to Assist You!

It's true. Rhode Island Divorce forms for your initial divorce filing can be confusing even if you believe you have a simple uncontested Rhode Island Divorce. Yet without filling out those forms and filing them properly with all the right information in the right place, your seemingly uncontested Rhode Island divorce isn't going anywhere. There is little more I can tell you in this short article other than, you have to get it right or your uncontested divorce proceeding isn't going anywhere.

Can you get the divorce forms you need? Absolutely! It is best to pick them up by asking for a complete divorce packet from the Domestic Relations counter at the family court in the county in Rhode Island where you plan on filing your divorce just in case the forms are pre-printed with the name of the county and the address of the county family court. Forms do change from time to time but as of the time of this short article this is the best suggestion available to insure you receive the correct paperwork to get your uncontested Rhode Island divorce started.

When you look at the Rhode Island Divorce forms, if they look confusing to you and you aren't sure what information to put in which area of the forms, you need some help.

First, please don't be upset or rude when the Rhode Island Family Court clerks and assistant clerks explain to you that they can't help you fill out the divorce forms. Please refrain from calling the attorney names or stating outloud that he lawyer is merely greedy if he or she asks you to engage them as your attorney first.
